What is the Think Rules Engine?
This is the component of Think Rules which covers rule deployment and execution and it operates inside the Think IES Server. The rules engine complements the BRMS since it executes the rules that were created there.
Combining Business Rules and Predictive Analytics
The ThinkAnalytics platform can apply business rules and predictive analytics together, combining the best of both approaches. The predictive algorithms are used to model customer behaviour and business rules can be applied to determine the most appropriate action to take. The predictive scores are used as input on how likely the customer is to churn, what the next best offers are, how likely the customer is to incur debt, what the risk of the current transaction is, and so on.
The Think IES platform provides facilities to access data, apply data transformations, create new variables, apply business rules, apply data mining and statistical models, integrate with external systems, and many others.
The screenshot below gives an example of how these may be combined to deliver a Real Time On Demand Decision Service capability that can be easily scaled to cope wth thousands of transactions per second in a multi-channel operational environment.
