What is the Think Rules BRMS?
The Think Rules - Business Rules Management System (BRMS) provides a Web based user interface allowing both business and technical users to define, edit, save and maintain rules in an intuitive and user friendly way.
A BRMS allows people to manage rules in a multi user environment; it is a single point of truth for your business rules, allowing change in a controlled fashion, with user-friendly interfaces.
An example screenshot below shows how a user can create a rule that only applies during a certain time period. The new rule can be created and deployed in advance and the rules engine will only apply the rule during the appropriate time period. There is no need to modify any systems on the day the rule is to take effect or when it has to be removed.
Writing Business Rules in Natural Language
The rules can be written in natural or pseudo-natural language so that the business users can create rules using terminology that they are comfortable with and is familiar to them:

Managing the rules, controlling updates and versioning the deployed rules is a vital part of any business rules deployment. The Think Rules BRMS supports these aspects, recording who created a rule, when it was modified, the current version, and the deployment status, as well as any descriptions or other supporting text that the users make.
