Think IES Release 8.0

Components

Listed below is some of the new functionality included in Think IES 8.0:

  • A Business Rules Management System and Rules Engine component to execute business rules from a Think IES plan

  • Support for Windows Vista

  • Support for Java 6

  • Firewall tunneling between the Think IES server and clients

  • Import/Export of the library of Think IES plans

  • A component to execute a JSR94-compliant rules engine from a Think IES plan

  • A variety of diagnostic and data transformation components to support time series analysis and forecasting:
    • Differencing
    • Inverse Differencing
    • Auto Correlation Analyzer
    • WaldWolfowitz Runs Test
    • Insert Missing Time Stamps
    • Transpose
    • Local Average
    • Add Date Stamp
  • The ARIMA time series algorithm

  • Generalized Linear Models for Normal distribution/Identity link and Binomial distribution/Logit link functions

  • A new geographic Location Finder component to calculate the destination latitude/longitude from the source latitude/longitude, distance and bearing

  • The SAS Server components have been updated to use a newer mechanism to communicate with the SAS server.

  • Updated the regression components to provide more support for collinear data and with additional co-linearity diagnostics.

  • The Association Rules component has been updated to allow the following:
    • Input of “interesting items” in a similar way to that already provided for the Targeted Associations
    • User to specify if the “interesting items” are allowed to be on the left, right or either side of a rule
    • Maximum length of the right hand side of a rule to be set
  • The Expression, Simple Expression and Select Records components have been updated to add the following functions:
    • Random number generation
    • Rounding, Ceiling and Floor
    • Convert to Degrees/Convert to Radians
    • Max/Min
    • Arc Cos, Arc Sin, Arc Tan, Arc Tan 2

In addition, existing components have been updated to provide additional functionality, improve performance and ease of use.
